The Allied victory over Nazi Germany in 1945 marked the beginning of the Cold War. The relationship that developed primarily between the USSR and USA after World War II was given the name The Cold War. It dominated international affairs for decades and many crises occurred including The Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, the division of Berlin and the infamous Berlin Wall to name a few. The most worrying issue was the growth of weapons of mass destruction.
